主讲人介绍：

Paul Tae-Woo Lee is Professor of International Logistics and Transportation and Director of Maritime Logistics and Free Trade Islands Research Center, Zhejiang University, China. He has joined High-Level Overseas Talent of Zhejiang Province in 2017. He has published 8 books and more than 100 papers. He edited 20 special issues of international journals as guest editor and guest co-editor, such as Transportation Research Part E (2016 and 2017), Transportation Research Part D (2016 and 2017), Transportation Research Part A (2019) and so on. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Journal of International Logistics and Trade and an Associate Editor of the Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, Journal of Shipping and Trade, and IAME Magazine.

讲座内容:

The aims of my speech are three-fold: first, to demonstrate one trial of how to find research topics and what methods have been applied to transportation and maritime logistics field plus the topics related to the Belt and Road Initiative. Second, it attempts to address research design and approach, focusing maritime transport and logistics. In so doing, the speaker will share with the audience his observations on common mistakes in reviewing literature, hypothesizing, conducting questionnaire and survey, setting mathematical models, and applying research methods. Finally, some research tips referring to his paper review experience are provided for young researchers. The speech would be helpful for them improve their research performance, avoiding trials and errors.
